Patient and Family Resources
Sorting through information about cancer can be overwhelming. St. Luke's offers a wide variety of resources to help you deal with the complexities of cancer. While the internet offers information on almost every facet of cancer care, we encourage you to speak with your medical team if you have questions.
Patient advocates
For patients with breast cancer, a Breast Care Coordinator helps women and their families to understand their diagnosis and works side by side to help them through treatment and recovery.
St. Luke's collaborates with the American Cancer Society Patient Navigator program to provide information, resources and support to cancer patients and their families. It works to bridge the gap for patients between initial cancer diagnosis, treatment and successful survivorship. Kelly Bakewell is the Patient Navigator for the Cedar Rapids community and can be reached at 319/247-6004 or 888/266-2071.
