About St. Luke's EAP

St. Luke's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers area businesses services that improve the well-being of their employees and increase productivity. Our highly experienced, licensed behavioral health staff counsels and assesses personal or work-related problems that can affect a person's job, relationships, family or health.

EAP services are available to an employee as well as their immediate family members. They can self-refer to the EAP or a manager or supervisor can refer an employee because of job performance problems.

When an employee comes to St. Luke's EAP, our staff assesses their concerns and provides a plan to overcome their issues. Employees are offered four to eight confidential sessions per year. If an employee has ongoing concerns, referrals are made to the appropriate resources.

Our goal is to make this process work for employees. Our staff has many years of experience working with troubled employees. Evening appointments are available and there is a 24-hour Help Line for after-hours and weekend crises.

In addition to counseling employees, St. Luke's EAP provides services for employers to create a healthier workplace. We provide consultation for supervisors dealing with troubled employees as well as help develop human resources policies related to EAP. Each employer receives annual utilization reports and access to EAP newsletters and other collateral.

We also offer the following training for employers:

  • Drug supervisor training
  • Drugs and alcohol: a look at the affects of impairment in the workplace
  • Managing stress in the workplace
  • What is an EAP and how can it benefit your workplace?

Our goal is to support the health and well being of your employees and business. For more information email us or call 319/369-8152.
