Hearing Conservation

An effective hearing conservation program offers numerous benefits to both employers and employees. St. Luke's Hearing Conservation program provides annual testing and rechecks of hearing, as well as training to prevent hearing loss for employees working in noisy environments. We also work with your company to provide recommendations on hearing protection, including custom hearing protection if necessary.

Our certified, licensed audiologist and CAOHC certified hearing conservationist can perform onsite audiometric testing with our hearing conservation van at a time that is convenient for your company, or employees can come to St. Luke's Work Well Clinic. Comprehensive audiometric review, reports and recommendations are provided to ensure compliance with OSHA standards for hearing conservation.

In-house Hearing Conservation Supervision

For companies interested in operating their own in-house hearing conservation testing operations, OSHA requires that any technician performing audiometric testing be responsible to a "Professional Supervisor" who must be an audiologist, otolaryngologist or other physician. St. Luke's Work Well Solutions can provide this professional supervisor for your in-house program. We have a full time, certified audiologist who can be your Professional Audiometric Testing Supervisor. This person is responsible for reviewing results and making threshold shift calculations.

St. Luke's Work Well Solutions is available to assist you in compliance with hearing conservation in the form of a full service program, or ala carte working with your own trained employees. We also provide audiometric testing technician training for individuals interested in becoming CAOHC certified.
