Media Policies

St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids has a regional and national reputation for excellence in healthcare.

We respond to hundreds of inquiries each year from local, regional and national media outlets seeking information ranging from new technology and medical procedures to opinions regarding health care market trends and business ethics. We have created the following guidelines to assist you in arranging interviews or photo opportunities.

  • Please call a representative from our Marketing team to arrange an interview with any member of our staff. Our team oversees all media inquiries, and when appropriate, can provide additional or more appropriate sources for your story.

  • To arrange an interview, call the media contacts at 319/369-8372 or 319/369-7395.

  • Reporters must identify St. Luke's Hospital staff by their appropriate title in stories related to the staff member's work or role at St. Luke's.

  • Advance notice of on-site interviews is required so we can arrange for a room for media interviews or shoots, notify patient care areas involved and/or line-up appropriate patients, families and staff for your story.

  • To protect the privacy of other St. Luke's Hospital patients and families, a representative from the Marketing Department must accompany all reporters, film crews and photographers on campus.
