Free workshop on Parkinson’s disease at St. Luke’s

Approximately 1.5 million people are living with Parkinson’s disease in the U.S. and another 40,000 to 60,000 will be diagnosed with the disease this year. Some symptoms of Parkinson’s include tremors, rigidity, decreased arm swing when walking, postural instability and lack of facial expression.

On May 3, St. Luke’s Hospital and the American Parkinson Disease Association are holding a free workshop on basic Parkinson’s disease information, music therapy and a new exercise program for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
