Pink Ice event raises $25,000

In October, St. Luke’s Hospital and the RoughRiders teamed up to raise awareness and money in the fight against breast cancer during its Pink Ice event.
A portion of ticket sales for the October 25, RoughRiders Hockey Game benefited the St. Luke’s Spirit Fund, which provides financial assistance for non-medical services to women and men diagnosed with cancer.
In addition to money generated from ticket sales, a silent auction of the referee’s pink jersey’s and numerous prizes raised $25,000 for the St. Luke’s Spirit Fund.
October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
