Four nurses employed at St. Luke’s Hospital have been named to the 2009 “100 Great Iowa Nurses” list.
The nurses were chosen based on demonstrated concern for humanity, significant contribution to the nursing profession and leadership through mentoring.
St. Luke’s Nurses among the 2009 listing of “100 Great Iowa Nurses” include:
Melinda Altman, Emergency Department; Stephanie Anderson, Hospice and Palliative Care director; Carol McGrath, Intensive Care Unit; and Deb Schwiebert, Child Protection Center.
Nurses from all over Iowa were nominated by co-workers, supervisors, friends, family, and patients. The 100 Great Iowa Nurses selected will be honored at the 100 Great Iowa Nurses Celebration in Des Moines on Sunday, May 3. The 100 Great Nurses program is in its fifth year.
