St. Luke’s Hospital unveiled One Of A Kind three-dimensional retrospective art today created by Lawrence Romorini to showcase the history, people, accomplishments and mission of the hospital on their 125th anniversary. The art will be installed in St. Luke’s Nassif Heart Center.
The art measures 41” x 37” x 5.5” and incorporates over 125 photographs, publications and actual memorabilia to reflect the story. The structure is designed with mahogany wood and features in the border a 125-year timeline photoengraved in brass metal.
Vignettes through the decades highlight St. Luke’s commitment to patient-centered care, education, technological innovations and national recognition for excellence. Among the 3-dimensional items are a stethoscope, Lovey Bear, nurse’s lamp, commemorative medallions, miniature helicopter and much more.
Artist Lawrence Romorini has gained a national reputation for his three-dimensional retrospective art, which is on display nationwide, including art for American Chemical Society, Oprah Winfrey, DePaul Heath Center, Hon Industries, United States Pharmacopeia and many others.
“The story of St. Luke’s Hospital is truly an inspiration,” said Romorini. “Their extraordinary dedication to the community and impressive achievements make a great American story to commemorate in thee-dimensional art. We are honored to have collaborated with the St. Luke’s 125th anniversary team on this major milestone.”
