Free mammograms & pap tests for the uninsured

July 29, 2009

Mammograms and pap tests can find breast and cervical cancer early, before any noticeable symptoms, when treatments are most successful. But for women with no health insurance, these routine tests cost too much. However, thanks to the work of multiple organizations in Cedar Rapids there is a way for women to get these lifesaving tests free.

All women have to do is pick up the phone and make an appointment during “Well Woman Week” to take advantage of this potentially lifesaving opportunity.
