Former Iowa First Lady tours St. Luke's clinic

Former Iowa First Lady Christie Vilsack visited St. Luke's Family Health Center today and toured the facility.
Vilsack is executive director of the Iowa Initiative, a program that aims to reduce the high rate of unintended pregnancies among Iowa women ages 18-30 through networking, research and public outreach.
In 2007..., St. Luke’s Family Health Center was the recipient of a $1 million dollar grant from the Iowa Initiative. The money is used to increase the number of individuals using a long-term reversible birth control.
