St. Luke's helps Habitat for Humanity

St. Luke's and Habitat for Humanity are teaming up once again to complete work on homes in Cedar Rapids. This is part of the Build-A-Thon that was kicked off by Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals quarterback and Cedar Rapids native, at the end of June. Build-A-Thon is an effort to continue building affordable housing in Cedar Rapids after the floods of 2008.
As one of the largest employers in the community, St. Luke’s wants to give back to the community through our ‘We Care. We Build.’ project. It’s a continuation of We Care project started after 2008’s flood. That project raised over $800,000 and benefited 136 St. Luke’s employees that were directly impacted by the flood. The aim of this project is to continue to give back to the community.
