St. Luke’s Hospitalist team honored
St. Luke’s Hospitalist Team was named the 2009 Cogent Practice of the Year. This is the third year in a row St. Luke’s was awarded this honor.
This award signifies that the Cedar Rapids team within St. Luke’s Hospital measured the best overall in the entire nationwide company of Cogent. All markets are measured against each other in four main categories: average length of stay, 72-hour readmissions, dictation timeliness and patient satisfaction.
Hospitalists are doctors whose sole practice is the care of hospitalized patients. St. Luke’s started using hospitalists in 2006.
