Dental Health Center
Providing quality, low cost dental services for those in need of financial assistance since 1976. St. Luke's Dental Health Center provides routine dental care with an emphasis on prevention and education. The Dental Health Center serves patients in Cedar Rapids and counties in east central Iowa.
The center offers the following services:
- Fluoride - Topical fluoride is placed on teeth to strengthen and protect teeth, making them more resistant to cavities.
- Sealants - A sealant is painted on the grooves of teeth to help prevent cavities.
- Infant and Toddler Exams - Children are encouraged to receive their first dental exam by age 1.
- Education - Proper toothbrushing and flossing are demonstrated, with additional consultation on diet, tobacco, baby bottle tooth decay and healthy dental habits.
To qualify for low cost dental services, patients must be:
- Financially eligible (based on income and family size).
- Not covered under private insurance.
- Infant, child or adolescent through high school.
- Developmentally disabled adult or child.
- Title-19 (Medicaid), Medipass and HAWK-I programs accepted.
