Educational In-Services

St. Luke’s Hospice wants to help train your employees and staff on end-of-life care and issues. We have seminars available and can customize our programs. CEU credits can also be made available upon request. Programs include:

  • Spirituality at the end-of-life
  • When chronic illnesses become terminal
  • Peronal care for patients at the end-of-life

Speakers Bureau

Are you looking for speakers for your organization’s next meeting? The goal of our Speaker’s Bureau is to educate the community on hospice services. Not enough people truly understand the hospice benefit and it is our goal to instruct you on what you need to know to make informed decisions. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who can provide an overview of St. Luke’s Hospice as well as a few of their own personal stories and testimonials.

 

Conference of Faith

A free educational opportunity for lay leaders and the community of faith leaders, this conference helps faith leaders to become more comfortable with end-of-life issues and be able to share what they learned with their community. Topics covered include:

  • An understanding of the physical and psychological changes brought about by the dying process
  • Enhanced comfort in the ability to provide assistance to families facing the dying process
  • An understanding of the advance care planning process
  • Enhancing understanding and comfort regarding the grieving process
  • Increased sensitivity to the need for self care
  • Enhanced ability to minister to those facing end of life
