Wound Healing Center
Providing specialized treatment for serious wounds. St. Luke's Wound Healing Center is an outpatient service for individuals dealing with a wound that lingers without improvement for four to six weeks. The Wound Healing Center has a 73% healing rate and specializes in chronic wounds caused by diabetes, stasis ulcers, surgical procedures and other conditions.
The goals of the clinic include:
- Decreasing the number of amputations that can occur in relation to diabetes through early intervention and prevention.
- Reducing costs for patients by treating the conditions as efficiently and aggressively as possible using the most advanced treatment options.
Registration at the Wound Healing Center requires a written referral, which can be faxed to 319/369-8793.
