Recovery and Support

We put our hearts into caring for yours. You're not alone on the road to recovery. When you’re a patient at St. Luke’s, there’s an entire team of doctors, nurses, therapists, dieticians, and exercise specialists dedicated to helping you succeed.

  • Our Heart Failure Clinic connects you with heart experts who guide you to better health so you can avoid future emergency room visits and hospitalizations.
  • The Cardiac Rehabilitation Center on the third floor of the Nassif Heart Center has a full-sized walking track and specialized exercise equipment. The center's staff will help you build strength and stamina.

Learning to live heart healthy.

For many, recovery involves changes to diet and exercise. We know this can be a challenge. That's why we provide:

  • Education and advice on making smart food choices, including heart healthy recipes to try at home.
  • A custom exercise program tailored for you and your lifestyle so you have the best tools to succeed.
  • Cardiac rehab classes, two to three times a week for four to six weeks. Classes give patients the support and education needed to maintain an exercise program on their own.

Living well with heart disease

Learning to live with a chronic condition, including heart disease, can be challenging. St. Luke's offers a workshop - Living Well with a Chronic Condition - that provides you the tools needed to live successfully with your condition.
