St. Luke's Hospital is one of only 24 hospitals across the United States to teach robotic gynecologic surgery. St. Luke's is the busiest gynecology EpiCenter in the world. Surgeons from around the country travel to St. Luke's to learn the latest techniques in robotic surgery from Jerry Rozeboom, MD, OB-GYN Associates, P.C. and our St. Luke's robotic team.
St. Luke's and the nation’s other teaching hospitals are classified as Robotic Epicenters, which means they are top performing centers in the country for Robotic Surgery. The national Robotic Epicenter program was started in 2009 by Intuitive Surgical, the maker of the da Vinci surgical robot.
St. Luke's is one of just six Robotic Epicenters in the Midwest. Surgeons from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, North and South Dakota regularly travel to St. Luke's for robotic surgery training.
