Voice of the Patient
I wanted to
send my praise for the services we have received at Witwer Children's
Therapy in Hiawatha. They have made a world of difference to our Jude
and our entire family. I have been driving him there for speech and
occupational therapy every week for two and one-half years. It has been
worth every mile.
Jude was just
two years old when we started. He was significantly delayed in many
areas and had sensory and feeding issues. Now he can dress and feed
himself, drink from an open cup, cut with a scissors and write his name.
This is all with the help of the staff there, especially Lisa Dolphins.
Spider cage aids in therapy
Children's Therapy recently received two Universal Exercise Units, also known
as a Spider cage, purchased from TheraSuit LLC. The Spider cage is a new
therapy tool offered in Cedar Rapids. Watch our video to learn more.

Children's Therapy Referral Process
All children must be referred for therapy
by their doctor or a qualified healthcare professional.
Children's Therapy Financial Assistance
We understand the cost of services can sometimes limit access to the therapy children need. If insurance does not cover therapy costs or if deductibles are high, financial assistance may be available.
Because each situation is unique, we ask that families complete a Witwer Patient Assistance Fund application to verify their income and assets. From there, we'll do our best to identify programs that may be able to help defray children's therapy costs.
